                                                                                                                                                                                                               Join the fireside on Sunday 18th February for The Legend of Beowulf, the longest epic poem in Old English, the language spoken in Anglo-Saxon England before the Norman Conquest. Beowulf relates the exploits of its eponymous hero, and his successive battles with a monster named Grendel, with Grendel’s revengeful mother, and with a dragon which was guarding a hoard of treasure.

Beowulf is a classic tale of the triumph of good over evil.

Alain is reading again at the Tea House Theatre, this time the famous science  fiction story by HG Wells. A science fiction novella by H. G. Wells, published in 1895 and written as a frame narrative. The work is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposely and selectively forwards or backwards in time.
